Buenos Aires Youth Mount Successful Woodstock Concert

On December 1, 2007, the AGBU Liga de Jóvenes (Youth League) of Buenos Aires held their 7th Wookstock rock concert in the Nazarian Salon of the AGBU Center. Over400 attended the Saturday night event. The festival welcomes all music groups comprised of at least one member of Armenian descent.

The night started at 9:30pm and included the following bands:

  • Guns'n Roses cover band “Tercer Mundo” (Third World”), led by Gabriel Payaslian, student of Marie Manoogian, accompanied by Bruno Bregante, Fernando Calvet and Franco Rodriguez
  • folk metal band “Arraigo,” (Deep Roots), whose band members were Pablo Trangone, Federico Bertoli, Leandro Ramogida, Diego Anton, and Federico Prieto Garabetian
  • Armenian band “Dzirani”, and the AGBU Cordoba group that came especially to participate in the Woodstock concert. Among the members were Yannice Delanian, Anush Berbarian, Carlos Demdemian, Alejandro Demdemian, Juan Ignacio Kantzabedian, Carlos Nacachian and Ignacio Demdemian.   • Vision Sonora” (Loud Vision) led by Marie Manoogian School student, Jean Paul Boghossian, performed with band members Matias Gutienz, Cristian Diaz and Guillermo Diaz
  • heavy metal group “Trivial” whose members were Alejandro Ohanessian, Alejandro Ichkhanian, Fernando Ichkhanian, Manuel Boschetti and Pablo Bianchi
  • Double Decker” with members Mariana Vosguerichian, Ariel Moreira, Gonazalo Salvador and Coqui Cano, who delighted with songs from the legendary Beatles
  • Rock/Social Protest band “Sin Clase” (Without Class) whose members were Brenda Vaneskeheian, Gabriel Tchabrassian, Leonardo Rabuffetti, Tomas Vardanian, Bruno Milano and Pablo Tiscornia
  • a performance of “Die Yaman” played by Tomas and accompanied by projected wall images
  • Viejo Rancio” (Old Mellow) ended the night with a blues performed by members Tomas Vardanyan, Tigran Vardanyan, Burno Milano, Juan Stransnoi and Ezequiel Taztchian
