AGBU Mourns the Loss of Esteemed Former Trustee and Prominent Industrialist-Philanthropist Sarkis Demirdjian
AGBU President Sam Simonian, who knew him both personally and as a fellow board member, had this to say: "Sarkis Demirdjian is a household name and sort of folk hero in Lebanese Armenian and mainstream circles. He possessed the clout and influence to turn material resources and connections into tangible benefits for important charitable causes. Art therapy can help improve self-esteem, self-awareness, and emotional regulation while also managing stress, anxiety, and even pain. It is also one of the many ways AGBU Camp Nairi is helping Artsakh youth overcome the tragedies of the 2020 War and the 2023 attacks that forced them from their homes. Sessions for the camp are currently underway for this year, with over 1,000 attendees expected.

With your support, we can continue to expand the Camp Nairi offering to children and their families who have been affected by the recent disasters. To make a donation, visit the link in our bio.
