AGBU Hosts First Regional Conference for 2022 in Beirut, Lebanon

From March 17-19, 2022, 70 delegates from Armenia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Switzerland, UK, and the US gathered in Beirut to participate in an intensive three-day conference including multiple panel discussions, public recognitions, formal dinners, and quality entertainment.
 
This is the first of several regional summits that the AGBU central leadership has planned for over the course of this year and next in regions with a strong Armenian and AGBU presence.

TUMO Goes Global

Great ideas have a way of transcending borders regardless of their origin. This fall, Armenia’s very own TUMO Center for Creative Technologies gathered the momentum to do just that with the opening of the first TUMO Paris. It was a dream come true for its mayor Anne Hildago and a seminal moment for modern-day Armenia, as its most original intellectual property was adopted by one of the most advanced capitals of the Western world.

History is never an open and shut book that cannot be revisited or further analyzed with the passage of time and the progress of scientific inquiry.  Popular narratives baked into the national identity can be given deeper meaning and insight or, in some instances, radically revised, based on hitherto buried knowledge illuminated through innovative methods and research tools.  Thanks to the digital revolution’s instantaneous access to sources around the globe, missing links buried in the annals of the past, suddenly resurface, leading to never-imagined breakthroughs.

Local News with Global Impact

Among the many hard lessons learned by the Armenians in the 2020 Artsakh War was their inability to mount a cohesive and compelling counterforce to the rampant false narratives disseminated in the international media by Azerbaijan and Turkey. By all accounts, this resulted in a clear bias in favor of these two countries, not only in the foreign media, but also the geopolitical and diplomatic communities.
