    Engagement Formats and Fields

Recognizing the varied needs of mentees, the AGBU Business Mentors program has flexible structures allowing for one-on-one mentorships, specialized small group sessions, as well as masterclasses and networking events. Mentor participation can be both virtual or in-person in Armenia.

The AGBU Business Mentors Program is proactively and constantly engaging with various AGBU program teams (including initiatives such as Women Entrepreneurs (WE) and Women Coders) to identify and prioritize capacity-building needs among female beneficiaries, by focusing on refining both essential soft skills and hard skills. The sessions pinpoint key areas like social media marketing, market research, intellectual property law, leadership, and professional communications. These insights shape mentorship sessions throughout the year, both online and offline, ensuring a tailored approach that directly addresses the evolving needs of female beneficiaries in Armenia.

Mentors with broader backgrounds are encouraged to participate as well. Workshops and sessions led by Diaspora experts include an array of topics like communications, negotiations, leadership, conflict resolution, positive employer-employee structures, business strategies and more.

“I joined AGBU WE in 2020 to grow my jewelry business. I have participated in a number of mentorship sessions, all of which have equipped me with the skills necessary to run my business more effectively and efficiently. Moreover, we have had an opportunity to develop my soft skills like conflict management and communications. This has helped me develop as a leader and team manager."
