With rapid improvements in digital technology, AGBU recognized early that virtual learning would solve a longstanding dilemma for those prevented from learning the Armenian language, culture and contemporary subjects due to time constraints, schedule conflicts, or distance from an active Armenian community. The Armenian Virtual College (AGBU AVC) is a digital platform developed to connect diverse learners worldwide to an array of courses in multiple languages, all of which could be completed at one’s own pace.
AGBU AVC not only serves individual learners but also assists AGBU schools and classrooms around the globe as well as produces online events and signature digital tools to encourage exploration of an array of topics. Along the way, the AVC has connected a global community of learners who engage among themselves, exchanging ideas, practicing languages and organizing discussions on relevant subjects and issues.
A proven and invaluable resource to students of all ages, AGBU AVC offers an array of courses in language, history, culture and chess. It also provides digital support for teachers interested in employing hybrid learning methods.
AGBU AVC is a widely trusted resource for many initiatives and endeavors both within Armenia and connecting communities throughout the world. We have partnered to develop ebooks with institutions like the Smithsonian and launched initiatives linking Armenia's IT sector with experts in Silicon Valley. AGBU AVC also co-hosts digital events on a myriad topics.
