Job Description:

The Youth Program Coordinator will plan and oversee Programs for Youth by creating a safe and nurturing environment for young individuals, offering guidance, and organizing educational and recreational activities, including Innovations Studios (Innovation Studios | AGBU ) and the integration of the Sports program. This role aims to empower youth, further promote personal development, and foster positive leadership relationships within the community.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate strategic plans to implement the vision of AGBU Toronto
• Form positive relationships with students and parents
• Recruit and retain students and families for extracurricular programs and activities
• Hire, support, and supervise instructors and coaches (e.g., observe classes, provide guidance, and conduct regular staff meetings)
• Communicate with current and prospective students and their parents
• Plan field trips and special activities
• Evaluate programs
• Promote the programs within the community

Requirements- Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience running educational programs
• Experience hiring, managing, and supervising staff
• Experience in student recruitment and retention
• BA or diploma in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred
• Excellent relational skills – ability to form collaborative bonds and communicate well with children and youth, parents, and staff
• Strong professional skills – ability to work quickly, independently, and with accountability
• Strong leadership skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm to try new approaches
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality written and media materials
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Armenian language preferred
