Job Description
AGBU is seeking an associate to join the Districts, Chapters and Young Professionals team overseeing its flagship network of AGBU Young Professionals (AGBU YP).
Established in 1995, AGBU YP is currently a vibrant, growing network of 48 (and counting) volunteer-run groups across 29 countries. Each AGBU YP group seeks to ensure the prosperity and well-being of Armenian Young Professionals ages 22-40 in their local community by providing enriching personal and professional events, initiatives and opportunities for engagement.
Reporting to the Manager of AGBU Young Professionals, this position will work closely in all areas of administration, such as volunteer and relationship management, program logistics and operations, communications, special projects, and beyond.
Responsibilities
AGBU YP Coordination & Administration:
- Assist with the administration of the AGBU YP network through the implementation of AGBU YP Guidelines
- Assist with coordination of quarterly regional and global calls
- Maintain databases and directories of YP contacts using AGBU’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (CiviCRM) and internal systems (XLS)
- Organize and maintain an internal filing system of documents, records, archives and reports (e.g., YP events, Central Board reports, etc.)
- Track YP group logins for all AGBU-provided IT accounts and resources (e.g., email address, digital communications, design, and event systems)
- Liaise with AGBU IT & Web Services on behalf of AGBU YP groups, as related questions arise
- Assist AGBU Communications department with any YP requests for information, to be shared on social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), and AGBU print and digital publications (AGBU Insider, AGBU Magazine)
Special YP Projects:
- Work closely with the AGBU Special Events Manager and AGBU YP Manager to support the preparation of AGBU FOCUS, including internal communications, event management, and administrative tasks
- Assist in AGBU YP global fundraising and giving back (YP Cares) campaigns
- Aid in administration of AGBU YP resources & training offerings for volunteers and members, including YP professional development event series
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements- Skills/Qualifications
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and enjoys working in a mission-driven organization with multiple stakeholders across the globe
- Excellent communication skills in English required; knowledge of Armenian and other languages a plus (written, oral, in-person, external, internal)
- Strong organizational skills, with an ability to work both in a team and independently
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to effectively manage time and balance multiple priorities
- Familiarity with virtual systems, including but not limited to CRMs, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, accounting, design (Canva), communication and collaboration systems
- Adept at coordinating and scheduling multiple virtual meetings across varying time zones (Zoom preferred)
- A demonstrated respect for cultural diversity and comfort working in a multi-cultural organization
- Passion for AGBU mission and AGBU YP initiatives
- US citizenship or residency required
- Occasional evenings, weekends and/or travel may be required
- Bachelor’s degree required
