AGBU Stands Behind Peaceful Calls for Racial Justice and Equality. As Armenians, we know too well the repercussions of systemic devaluation of human rights. Our existence is shaped by survival through injustice. While mass protests in cities across America and the globe continue, AGBU is reminded of what can happen to subjugated and oppressed minorities who appeal to their government for basic dignity. We support freedom of speech and the right to peaceful protest. This is why we urge all Armenians to stand in solidarity with minority communities at this pivotal moment in history. Their pain is palpable and their claim to justice and liberty is righteous and worthy.
