This summer I will be part of an AGBU program supporting communities in Armenia. This opportunity feels very close to me, and I am grateful to be able to give back in a meaningful and personal way. This summer, Arménie, Terre de Vie volunteers will spend three weeks in Azatamut, a town located in the Tavush region, and focus on key projects to benefit more than 500 children of this town, two border villages and a summer camp. The primary project will be to rebuild 3 rooms and a corridor of the second floor of the Azatamut Community Center. In addition, the team will engage in educational activities with the children including holding sessions on oral healthcare and distributing basic needs packages for more than 40 displaced families from Artsakh.

The total budget for this project is $65,000. 100% of the funds raised will directly support the work being done by our volunteers.

ABOUT US

Arménie, Terre de Vie Program was founded in 2011 by volunteers who wanted to discover Armenia and its culture, engage with local communities, and provide assistance to those in need. Since then, we traveled to 6 villages and towns and rebuilt 10 rooms in 2 youth centers and 31 classrooms in 5 schools, reaching over 3,200 children. As one of AGBU’s key volunteer programs in Armenia, the program sees volunteers from around the world come together in unified strength.

Each year, AGBU is committed to making a difference in the lives of 500,000 people across Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian diaspora.
