YP Yerevan and Armenian Bloggers Join Forces to Help Karabakh
In Fall 2010, AGBU YP Yerevan and numerous Armenian bloggers began an ongoing project with the aim of providing much needed literature and books to the schools and libraries of Karabakh.
The group has already raised 300,000 AMD (US$ 820), received 1,300 books in donations, and purchased encyclopedias, volumes of classical Armenian literature, history books, maps, and other items.
This was the first cooperation of YP Yerevan and Armenian bloggers, and the project has already benefited the public library of the town of Karvatjar and the village schools of Nor Verin Shen and Yeghegnut. The project's next beneficiary will be a school library in Nor Getashen, Karabakh.
