The international pan-AGBU Young Professionals (YP) Greenhouse Project is getting an extra boost thanks to a recent fundraiser hosted by YP London welcoming 2013. On Friday, January 18, 2013, the group celebrated the end of a successful year and the beginning of another – one that will focus on helping villagers in Barekamavan, Armenia, produce and sell their own fresh crops. The initiative, part of the “Go Green” campaign launched by more than a dozen partnering YP groups in 2009, aims to bring sustainable development to the struggling border community, one greenhouse at a time.

Over 100 guests attended the festivities, which were held at the city’s Mayfair Marriott Hotel. In between dinner and dancing, the attendees enjoyed drawing raffle tickets for special prizes and planning future fundraisers – planting the seeds for more positive change.
