AGBU Vienna's Garod Dance Ensemble, with artistic director Ludmilla Sarikyan.

AGBU Vienna kicked off 2011 with a series of noteworthy activities that involve Armenian language classes and Armenian dance. From late January until March, the Chapter offered beginners and advanced Armenian language classes at their local AGBU office. The classes were headed by two instructors from the city's Hovannes Shiraz School, Dikranouhie Hekimian, who lead the beginners classes, and Levon Torossian, who is the author of the Armenian-German dictionary, was the teacher for the advanced sessions. On March 24, following numerous months of rehearsals, AGBU Vienna’s Garod Dance Ensemble held their inaugural performance. The newest addition to AGBU's chapter-based cultural programs, Garod is led by artistic director Ludmilla Sarikyan.
