Subscribe to Ararat, Who Is a Fan?

Since we launched Ararat magazine online, more people have been reading, commenting and sharing it than ever before.

We currently have 3,000 readers a month, up from our print subscriber base that was well below 1,000.

One of the most dynamic forums for the site has been its Facebook Page. Already 1,240 people have chosen to become "fans" of the publication and we thought it would be interesting to give you a demographic look at Ararat's fans.

According to Facebook (and remember all these labels are self-identified and not verified by the social network service):

  • 54% of Ararat's Facebook fans are female, 41% are male, and 5% are undeclared.
  • The majority of Ararat fans are between the ages of 25-34 (29%), and 35-44 (28%).

And they list the following cities as their places of residence:

  2. New York (possibly only Manhattan, see #13) (64)

And they list the following countries as their home:

  9. United Kingdom (21)
  10. Australia (16)
