Pupils of Montreal School Celebrate Vartanantz
The heroic battle of Avarayr and the Vartanantz War of the fifth century were celebrated in a program presented by the pupils of Armen-Quebec AGBU Alex Manoogian School (Montreal) on February 16, 2010 in the school's Arshavir and Nadia Gundjian Auditorium.
Opening remarks by 8th grader Michelle Chatmajian were followed by a presentation of the history of these events by 7th grader Hagop Keshishian (in Armenian) and 8th grader Gayel Abi Rashid (in French).
A variety of songs and recitations, as well as an emotional play, prepared by Armenian teacher Liza Svajian, devoted to Vartanantz rounded out the program.
