Summer is officially underway for kids in the Pasadena area who have just joined AGBU’s latest day camp and will spend the next five weeks meeting new friends, playing sports, making crafts, learning about their culture and much more.
Over 60 youth ages 6-13 are already enjoying days that are jam-packed with exciting activities. Under the supervision of an experienced staff at the AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Center in California, campers are rehearsing plays, singing their favorite songs, playing sports, learning about Armenian history, and mastering Armenian dance moves. When they’re not enjoying the outdoors, the kids will be on fun field trips, such as bowling and rock climbing.
Like all AGBU summer programs, the AGBU Summer Day Camp-Pasadena, which began on June 18, offers a nurturing environment where children can develop an appreciation for their cultural heritage and form lasting friendships with their Armenian peers.
