NYSIP & YPGNY Kick Off Annual Mentoring Program

On Wednesday, June 26, 2013, AGBU New York Summer Internship Program (NYSIP) participants arrived to Cherrywood Kitchen in Soho for the first of two mentoring events organized for them by the AGBU Young Professionals of Greater New York (YPGNY).
Young Armenian professionals from diverse industry backgrounds were paired with a NYSIP participant with the same field of interest in order to share their experiences and knowledge. Interns took the opportunity to inquire about work/life balance, how to break into their desired job market, and other inquiries about their professions.
One of the goals of the partnership between NYSIP and YPGNY is to provide a forum for interns to meet established future peers in a particular field, and therefore establish one-on-one, hopefully long term, professional relationships, as well.
