NYSIP Interns Meet Their Mentors
On June 26, this year’s NYSIP interns participated in the first of the two-part professional mentoring experience. The annual event, which is organized by the AGBU Young Professionals of Greater New York, took place at Ventanas restaurant and bar in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York.
Throughout the evening, each intern was paired with a young professional working in that intern’s area of interest. This way, they were given the opportunity both to gain valuable insights in their chosen profession and establish a working relationship with a professional who could assist them during their time in New York and beyond.
Institutions represented this year included JP Morgan, Deutsche bank, Universal McCann and the investigative journalism program, “Inside Edition”. The second, and more formal, mentoring night is slated to take place next month.
