NY Interns Meet with First Professional

On Tuesday, June 18, 2013, NYSIP interns met with Alexis Halejian, Digital Marketing Manager at BR Guest, at the AGBU Central Office in Manhattan.
In true digital fashion, Halejian framed her speech as a”Foursquare check-in”, emphasizing the importance of maintaining positive professional relationships that may lead to future job endeavors. Alexis provided the interns with a”Top 10 NYSIP To Do List,” and encouraged them all to step outside of their comfort zones during their time in the city. Her presentation comprised a 360-degree view of NYSIP and how alumni can give back. The concept resonated clearly, as Alexis was once a NYSIP intern, and returned to act as the Summer Activities Coordinator. Until very recently, she was the chair of the AGBU Young Professionals of Greater New York (YPGNY) group.
