New and Improved AGBU Academics Website Creates a Stir during General Assembly Presentation

Soon, Armenian students seeking a fast and easy way to connect online won’t have to look any further than AGBU’s own social networking site: AGBU Academics. Slated to launch in March 2013, the website is already creating a buzz following a presentation at AGBU’s 87th General Assembly in Yerevan.

On Friday, October 19, 2012, AGBU Academics founder Camilio Azzouz-Kiwanian brought a crowd of 70 General Assembly delegates, professors and students together at Yerevan State University for an exciting preview of the new and improved web portal.

Launched just two years ago, the site is now reinventing itself to meet its members’ growing needs, as Azzouz-Kiwanian described. Guided by three key principles – keep it fast, simple and community-oriented – AGBU Academics’ team of engineers in Paris are working around the clock to get it up and running. When unveiled, the site will feature quick-loading pages, easy registration and user-friendly applications. Most significantly, it will broaden its reach and expand membership from university students to the larger AGBU network, with a special focus on creating alumni groups. While students around the world are exchanging advice, alumni from different AGBU programs will be sharing memories – all under the single AGBU Academics banner, “Learn Global, Think Global.”

AGBU Academics presentations were also held in both Moscow and Paris over the past two weeks with numerous students in attendance, ready to connect with each other and discover what AGBU can offer them this summer. Plans for a London event are currently underway – stay tuned for details!

There are currently 400-plus members registered with AGBU Academics. To join their conversation and stay updated on the upcoming launch, click here: http://www.agbuacademics.com/
