Montreal Sponsors Vocal Duet-Recital by Yeghishe Manucharyan and Victoria Avetisyan
On November 28, 2010, rising opera star, Armenian-American tenor Yeghishe Manucharyan and his wife, mezzo-soprano Victoria Avetisyan, gave a recital entitled “Soirée Bel Canto” at the Vincent D’Indy School of Music in the Outremont neighborhood of Montreal, organized by AGBU Montreal.
The program, which was presented with the two singers alternating on stage, included mostly European ariatic operas during the first half, while Armenian art songs and arias dominated after the intermission.
