Melbourne's Annual Camping Trip Attracts Old and Young
From September 23-25, 2011, the AGBU Melbourne Chapter ran a weekend camping trip at Don Bosco Camp in Safety Beach, located near Melbourne, Australia. This year's event is the 10th annual camping trip organized by the AGBU Melbourne and the second year at the Don Bosco Camp.
Over 20 families took part in the trip. The annual camping trip weekend serves as a key tool in teaching children, as well as adults, about teamwork, community spirit, and discipline. Committee members, along with volunteer parents, worked together to run the kitchen and prepare meals for everyone in attendance. The camping trip coordinators included Berdj Tchakerian, Hovig Chahinian, and Hovnan Torosoglu.
