Last year marked the centennial of the AGBU London Chapter. Throughout the year, a number of events were organized to celebrate the long-standing organizational values and traditions of the chapter. The culminating celebration of the centennial was held on December 31, 2010, when 300 AGBU members and friends attended a festive New Year's Eve celebration. This exceptional event gathered distinguished guests, AGBU members, and old and new friends to celebrate with a dinner and dance gala night. Special guests attending the event included the Very Reverend Father Vahan Hovhanessian, who conveyed the blessing, in the form of a "Gontag," of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, which was addressed to the local AGBU community; the Reverend Father Shnork Baghdassarian; representatives of the Armenian Embassy in London; and past chairmen of AGBU London.

The centennial celebration generated an unprecedented interest in the AGBU community and chapter. To create a festive atmosphere fitting for the occasion, AGBU London invited Armenian singer and song-writer Christine Pepelyan to perform during the New Year's Eve event, and musician Arsen Grigoryan acted as the evening's master of ceremonies. They charmed, amused, and entertained the audience throughout the evening and well into 2011.
