Joseph Oughourlian Elected to AGBU Central Board of Directors

The Central Office of AGBU announces the election of the newest member of its Central Board of Directors, Joseph Oughourlian of New York. A managing partner, founder, and chief executive officer of Amber Capital Investment Management, an event-driven hedge fund, Oughourlian was welcomed to the Central Board by AGBU President Berge Setrakian at the 86th General Assembly in Buenos Aires this past October.
Prior to managing Amber Capital, Oughourlian headed the Equity Arbitrage Proprietary Trading Desk at Société Général from 1997 to 2001 and was an analyst on the desk from 1994 to 1997. He earned his MBA from HEC Paris School of Business in 1994, and he also holds a Master's in Economics from the University of La Sorbonne, Paris.
Born in Paris, France, Oughourlian currently resides in Manhattan with his wife, Jenny, and three children, Jean, Alice, and Julien.
