Join the AGBU Young Professionals: Networking Never Felt So Good
With almost thirty YP Groups & Partners located in sixteen countries on five continents, the AGBU Young Professionals (YP) is the largest Armenian network of its kind today! Looking back on 2012, our global accomplishments were not only multiple, but meaningful:
- We engaged over 10,000 YPs in a host of diverse professional, cultural, and humanitarian activities, including annual favorites such as YP Northern California's Winter Gala Weekend and YP Boston's Christmas Party;
- We fundraised over $75,000 for worthwhile causes increasing our grand total to over $446,000, with the $25,000 donation to the AGBU Children's Centers from YP Greater New York's Silent Auction breaking a YP giving record;
- We welcomed to our fold new YP Groups in Athens, Greece and Lyon Rhône-Alpes; and
- We sent representatives to AGBU's 87th General Assembly in Armenia where a study room was dedicated by the American University of Armenia to the Young Professionals.
Looking ahead to 2013, the YP Network is already hard at work supporting the Pan-YP Greenhouse Project in Barekamavan Armenia, lending a helping hand to fundraise for the AGBU Humanitarian Emergency Relief Fund in support of Syrian Armenians, and mobilizing its members to attend FOCUS hosted by YP Northern California this August in San Francisco.
