Sprits soared this month as our AGBU-AYA Boy Scouts and Rovers from both Antranik Antelias and Antranik Sevan Chapters brought home 6 winning medals from the 6th Goodwill Games.
The Goodwill Games took place at St. Joseph School, located in Cornet Chahwan, Lebanon. The games have been organized by the Scouts du Liban Association since 1993. This exciting event, which has been dubbed as the “Scout Olympics,” spans a period of several months, and culminates in a 4-day camp of various sports competitions, entertainment, and educational activities for all participants to enjoy.
The competition consisted of several preliminary rounds, which then led to one final round where teams from each sport competed in the 4-day event.
This year, our talented Scouts and Rovers won 4 gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze. They medalled in Ping Pong, long jump, and the 100-meter sprint. Congratulations to all the winners, and to all the Scouts whose lives were enriched by this valuable experience!
