Career Development Seminar with Alumnus Serge Kassardjian Engages 2013 NYSIP Students

On Monday, June 24, 2013, Android Business Developer at Google and NYSIP alumnus Serge Kassardjian addressed the participants of the AGBU New York Summer Internship Program on the importance of professional networking for career development.
Students capitalized on the opportunity to inquire about the different pathways and mediums available to advance their careers in a highly digitalized world and how websites such as LinkedIn and Twitter come into play. Kassardjian emphasized the importance of maintaining a professional image on all social media outlets, as potential employers always perform thorough background checks.
Kassardjian also urged the interns to utilize their college alumni networks as a spring board to larger employment opportunities, reminding them to always be an individual and surpass any and all expectations.
