On the occasion of the 101 anniversary of the AGBU Milan chapter, an Evening of Poetry and Music was held at the Italian city’s Hye Doon in Milan, attended by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia, Doct. Pietro Kuciukian, Armenian community members and Italian guests. Following a prayer by Father Tovma Khachatryan, MC Gayane Khodaverdian delivered the opening remarks, reviewing the local chapter’s programs for the youth and inviting them to take active part in it. In her message to the audience, AGBU Milan Chapter Chair Gueguel Khatchadourian stressed the importance of unity and solidarity for our nation.

In the artistic segment of the evening, Salpy Darakjian guided the public into a fascinating journey through Armenian and Italian arts and letters with her theatrical poetry performance in both languages. In the second part of the program, Nune Hayrapetyan kept the public spellbound with her piano recital of classical pieces by Armenian and world famous composers. A buffet reception afterwards provided the public the opportunity to greet the artists and socialize.
