Our AGBU Global Run is dedicated to the youth of tomorrow - the children of Armenia and Artsakh who have endured years of war, loss, displacement, and uncertainty since 2020. Camp Nairi has offered opportunity for healing, reflection and mindful integration of children suffering from unthinkable traumas. With the supportive environment offered and leadership of trained mental health workers, children and parents alike have benefited from the community they have found with AGBU.

Why We Run - AGBU Camp Nairi
In the fall of 2020, the lives of thousands of children in Artsakh and Armenia were forever changed by the 44-day war, as many lost family members or saw loved ones injured, leaving deep emotional wounds. Three years later, following a blockade leading to lack of food, electricity and resources, 120,000 Armenians were once again forced to leave their ancestral homes under threat, exposing children to the trauma of displacement and loss.
Today, many of these families live in Armenia and find support at AGBU Camp Nairi, a free sleep-away camp designed for therapeutic sessions and recreational bonding. In addition, AGBU provides weekend family retreats with access to mental health professionals, including art and music therapy.
A Safe Haven for Growth and Recovery
In 2026 alone, AGBU aims to reach up to 800 children through summer camps as well as 720–800 children and 400–450 mothers through family programs — ensuring that no vulnerable child or family is left without support.
