Welcome to AGBU FOCUS

AGBU FOCUS is a four-day conference designed to encourage young professional Armenians to reconnect with their shared Armenian roots in all its forms. It is a unique opportunity for YP’s, from across the globe, to meet like-minded people, expand their personal and professional networks, engage in important dialogue, learn more about AGBU's global work, and celebrate their unique Armenian perspectives.

AGBU FOCUS has converged in six countries and 10 different cities to date. This biennial event returns in the Summer of 2025 so be sure to email focus@agbu.org to be added to our mailing list. Don’t forget to follow us on social media!

Last year, nearly 500 young professionals from 25 countries gathered in Spain’s capital Madrid for AGBU FOCUS 2023. Learn more about FOCUS 2023’s events by clicking here.

We are currently accepting applications to host FOCUS 2025. If you are interested in applying and for more information, please email focus@agbu.org indicating your interest and the AGBU YP Group of which you are a member. Application are accepted until June 3rd, 2024.

Since FOCUS was established in 2001, our FOCUS fundraising campaigns have raised close to $1 million for various AGBU programs. In 2023, the FOCUS fundraising campaign raised over $110,000 for the AGBU EmpowerHer initiative in support of the women of Armenia and Artsakh.

EmpowerHer helps women from all regions of Armenia gain a leg up in their lives with professional development courses, mentorship connections, and access to a growing number of like-minded women supporting women. With mindful programming through AGBU Women Entrepreneurs and AGBU Women Coders, over 400 women to date from throughout Armenia and Artsakh have completed courses, received guidance and some even received special grants to ensure success in building their business and finding jobs in the growing tech sector.

AGBU EmpowerHer combines both educational and psycho-social components that work to change perceptions and teach skills essential to gaining financial and social independence. More info >>
