    Volunteer for impact

    Activate the future

Volunteers are the core activators of AGBU's work and network. For generations, individuals have served in various ways to make meaningful impact: offering professional expertise and mentorship, serving in the homeland and leading communities. We offer countless engagement opportunities, in-person or virtual, locally or abroad. AGBU is committed to building our already vast community of active citizens.

    Volunteer for Armenia

We offer opportunities for volunteers of all ages to conduct in-person service work in Armenia including special initiatives with children, construction work, distribution of aid supplies, serving warm meals to those in need and more.

    • Discover Armenia: Teens explore the country’s culture and heritage while giving back through community service projects.
    • Arménie, Terre de Vie: Young professionals focus on construction projects in regional villages.
    • Armenians Come Together (ACT): Volunteers of all ages spend one week assisting with aid distribution projects.

Mentorship and professional engagement options exist for volunteers who wish to provide their expertise and time virtually or in-person.

    • ANI Language Coaching: Assist professional women in fine-tuning their English conversational skills.
    • Business Mentors: Provide one-on-one guidance or lead industry-specific seminars for women looking to advance or start their professional journeys.

    Volunteer in Your Local Community

Giving back and connecting with other Armenians locally is a highly rewarding experience. Whether you want to help run a program, launch or join a committee or plan a fundraiser or event, every city has its own unique set of opportunities.

    • Join or start a Young Professionals group or Chapter in your region.
    • Become a mentor or counselor at one of our various global youth programs and camps.
    • Help plan a local event or fundraiser.

    Exodus from Artsakh

AGBU wasted no time to gear up for the monumental challenge at hand, given its deep experience on the frontlines of humanitarian relief, especially those of more recent memory—from the Syrian Armenian refugee crisis, the Covid-19 pandemic, the explosion at the Port of Beirut, the 2020 Artsakh War, and now the exodus of the Armenians from Artsakh.

    One of the Lucky Ones

You see, because we are a small community and we literally know everyone, when we learn that someone’s brother, sister, or relative was killed, we die with each piece of sad news. And especially now, we are afraid to ask anyone, ‘How are you?’ because in each family there is a tragedy.
