Job Description:
The Educational Programs Manager / Head of AGBU Innovation Studios will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of the AGBU Innovation Studios program, focusing on hands-on, skills-based education for youth in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields. This role combines program management, educational leadership, and innovation to foster the growth of a creative, inclusive, and impactful learning environment for students of all ages. The candidate will also oversee the region’s broader educational programs and serve as a key liaison between schools, partners, and the community to further AGBU’s mission of promoting lifelong learning and cultural enrichment.
Responsibilities:
Program Leadership and Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of AGBU Innovation Studios, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, hands-on educational experiences
- Implement and evaluate educational curricula in collaboration with educators, industry professionals and partners to keep the program aligned with current STEAM trends
- Manage, mentor, and support Innovation Studios coaches and staff, ensuring their professional growth and effective delivery of program components
- Foster an inclusive and innovative learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among participants
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding of program instructors, mentors, and volunteers
Strategic Planning and Development
- Design long-term strategic goals for Innovation Studios and other educational programs in alignment with AGBU’s educational mission and objectives
- Expand the program’s reach by building partnerships with local schools, organizations, and industry leaders to offer students enhanced opportunities
- Collaborate with AGBU leadership to identify opportunities for program growth and expansion, including securing funding through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships
- Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring financial sustainability and resource allocation for program needs
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary contact for students, parents, community partners, and educational institutions, providing updates, addressing concerns, and promoting engagement with the program
- Build and maintain relationships with local and national (NuVu) partners to promote Innovation Studios’ visibility and credibility
- Represent the programs at community events, educational forums, and conferences to promote its mission and impact
Program Evaluation and Reporting
- Establish and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of program initiatives, using data to continuously improve offerings
- Prepare and present regular reports to AGBU leadership and key stakeholders on the program’s progress, achievements, and future plans
- Stay informed about advancements in STEAM education, incorporating new techniques and technologies into program offerings
Event Planning
- Plan and execute educational and tech-related events, workshops, and conferences aimed at promoting STEAM learning and Armenian cultural heritage
- Organize and participate in hands-on workshops and tech expos to engage students in real-world applications of STEAM concepts
- Coordinate speaker panels, presentations, and networking events featuring industry leaders, educators, and innovators
- Collaborate with local partners to host events that broaden participants' exposure to global trends in education and technology
- Ensure successful event logistics, including budget management, venue coordination, registration, and participant communication
International Branch Oversight
- Oversee AGBU Innovation Studios’ operations across international branches to ensure consistency with program mission and quality
- Provide strategic guidance and support to regional teams for localized program development
- Coordinate cross-branch initiatives to foster collaboration, resource sharing, and global cohesion
- Ensure alignment of all programs with AGBU's broader educational objectives and standards
Other Duties
- Support AGBU’s broader educational initiatives by contributing to additional programming, events, and workshops as needed
- Work closely with the region’s communications team to develop promotional materials and ensure effective communication about Innovation Studios’ events and activities
Requirements- Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEAM-related fields, or a relevant discipline
- 5+ years of experience in program management, curriculum development, or educational leadership, with a focus on innovative, hands-on learning environments
- Proven experience managing teams, especially in a youth-focused, STEAM-related educational setting
- Experience working with diverse groups of students, educators, and community partners
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in instructional design, and project-based learning
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in budget management and strategic planning
- Knowledge of emerging trends in education technology and STEAM fields
- Passionate about youth education and STEAM learning
