Join AGBU Arts and Sudanahye director, Vahe Boghosian, at the AGBU Central Office for a discussion surrounding Armenian Life in colonial Sudan as preserved through archival photographs and oral history. Light refreshments will be served.
Vahe Boghosian is the director of the Sudanahye Project. A diasporan Armenian born in London, he studied History (BA) and Security Studies (MSc) at University College London, focusing on diasporas and their relationships with ‘host’ and ‘homeland’ societies.
The Sudanahye Project is a research and archival initiative documenting Sudanese-Armenian history—opening a broader conversation about shared paths of exile, British colonialism in Sudan, and its enduring impact. Sudanahye seeks to create a reflective space where Sudanese and Armenian scholars, community organizers, and cultural practitioners can exchange perspectives on the legacies of empire and the challenges of memory-making across diasporas.
