Congratulations to AGBU Scholarship Alumnus Daron Acemoglu on becoming a 2024 Nobel Prize laureate in economic sciences!

Currently an MIT professor, Dr. Acemoglu received his PhD from the London School of Economics at 25 years old and is one of the world’s foremost economists. He is the second Armenian to win a Nobel Prize in any category, following Dr. Ardem Patapoutian, who won for Physiology or Medicine in 2021.
